Oren W. Beal, Jr., CIC
Oren is a Bryan native and grew up in Bryan schools. He attended Texas A&M and graduated with a degree in accounting. After graduation, Oren worked for 16 years with the IBM Corporation as a Marketing Representative. In 1985, Oren purchased the Beal Insurance Agency from his uncle, Jacob Beal, who had founded the agency in 1946. Oren holds his CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designation, is a Lifetime Member of the B/CS Chamber of Commerce and is a 40+ year Master Mason and a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite member. Oren and his wife Pat have been married over 50 years and have one daughter, Karen, who is married to Andy Winn, a partner in the agency.
Andy Winn, CIC
Andy is also a Bryan native and a graduate of Bryan High School. Andy attended Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX where he obtained a B.A. in History. Following graduation, Andy began his insurance career as a group health insurance underwriter for Prudential Healthcare in Houston. In 1997, he and his wife Karen jumped at the opportunity to come home to Bryan/College Station and join the agency. Like his father-in-law Oren, Andy also holds the CIC designation. He loves working with local business owners and individuals and is proud to be carrying on the legacy of this multi-generational family business. Most of all, he is grateful to be able to raise his family in the town he loves. In his free time, Andy is an avid runner and cyclist and loves to travel as much as possible.
Sandy Whitaker
Sandy began her insurance career in 1995 in her husband’s insurance agency in Tomball, TX. In 2008, they sold their agency, moved to Somerville, and began renovating their new home. In 2010, she began working for our agency as a Commercial CSR, and she has brought a wealth of experience to her role ever since. When she is not taking care of our clients’ needs, she is enjoying the peace and quiet of her country home.
Mary Lapaglia
Mary is also a Bryan native and is a proud graduate of Texas A & M University. She started her insurance career 18 years ago in personal lines for a local independent insurance agency. Next, she worked with a direct writing agency but found she missed the options she was used to. As the newest member of our agency, she enjoys the variety of working with both personal lines and commercial lines customers. Mary is also a licensed nurse. She has many interests, but if crocheting were a sport, she’d be in the thick of it!
